CLEANING FEE POLICY

Vehicles returned with excessive sand/dirt will incur in additional charges staring at $75.00    at the end of the rental.

Excessive sand dirt means: Pet hair or Sand on seats, dash, cup holders, in short anything above the floor.

Stains caused by sun tan lotion, surf board wax on the roof or seats are also charged.

This charge can be avoided by simply dusting yourself off and being dry or using a towel before entering the vehicle. Clients will be offered the opportunity to clean out any excessive sand/dirt at the time of return in order to avoid this charge.

NO SMOKING ALLOWED IN THE VEHICLES

Absolutely no smoking of any kind is allowed in any of our rental vehicles. There are signs posted throughout the facilities and you will be required to sign a document acknowledging that you or anyone else will not smoke inside of our vehicle or there will be a fine starting from $300. With ample signage and warnings not to smoke prior to your rental, if upon your return smoke is detected the fine will be strictly enforced.

CREDIT CARD RENTAL RULES

We only accept credit cards: VISA, Master Card, or American. We do not permit debit card. 

DEPOSIT POLICY

A $500.00 minimum deposit is required on all rental types at the time of rental along with the total amount due for the rental. The deposit is refunded once the vehicle is returned and has been inspected or if no further charges apply.

WARNING: Although Van and Car Rental by Autobuses de Puerto Rico immediately gives a refund the actual refunded amount may take between 7-10 business days to reflect onto your credit card depending on your bank.

TOLL OPTIONS

One time fee of $15.00 will be charge and then you recharge as needed. If you do not recharge, will be charge a fee of $15.00 and tolls fee for each. 

RESERVATIONS POLICY

At the moment cancellations are not accepted due to the high volume of customers, if you wish to cancel before 48 hours of the date and time established in this contract in reservations, the sum equivalent to three days of rent will be charged and the tenant accepts that it is charged to your credit card.; after 48 hours you will be given a credit for the monetary value which will be valid for one year from the date of your original contract to be used again for the current value of our services. 

DRIVERS LICENSE POLICY

Only a valid non-expired driver's license can be accepted for a rental. No temporary, expired, or interim license can be accepted for a rental.

Non U.S./Foreign license : A foreign driver's license can be used as long as we can identify the driver's name, home address, driver's license number and expiration date.

International drivers license: Can be used to rent a vehicle. 

AGE REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Age: 18

ADDITIONAL DRIVERS

You can add drivers for $10.00 per person. This will be one time charge.

Minimum Age for Additional Drivers: 18 

DRIVING AREA

Van and car cannot be taken to Vieques or Culebra.

FUEL POLICY

Vehicles must be returned with the same amount of gasoline as per pick up. 

Fuel surcharges will apply. Price depends on current market. Ask at counter. 

PICK-UPS AND DROP-OFFS

We can pick up and drop off at the Airport (Luis Muños Marín -  San Juan). The charge will begin from $50.00 E/W
